News of Possible Water Shortage

The following message has been received from our ward councillors regarding water supplies after the recent cold snap:
Affinity Water have advised SADC that there may be water shortages in the St Albans and South Oxhey areas due to multiple burst water mains caused by the recent weather. If there are outages, various locations in the district will be used to distribute water and the vulnerable will of course be given priority of supply and care.
This message is purely a precaution but if you could advise friends and neighbours to save water where they can this will take the pressure off the supply system and hopefully ensure continuity of supply.
